We have an opportunity for a Graduate Data Warehouse SQL Developer to join our team based in Geelong.

ABOUT THE ROLE
 
This role will join our Business Intelligence team who are responsible for providing quality data, queries and reports to our business, partners and external stakeholders. This team are passionate about data and information and committed to continually develop, maintain and support our back-end data warehouse to ensure our information toolset is accurate and reliable and can support the business to make informed decisions.
 
You’ll work collaboratively with your team and have the opportunity to apply your SQL talents every day to:
 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of our back-end Data Warehouse tables, views and stored procedures and ETL processes.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support, including SQL query optimization.
  • Monitor daily data loads which includes SQL Agent Jobs, SSIS packages and SFTP scripts and data integrity checks
  • Maintain Data Warehouse documentation and code

You’ll get to see the effect of your work in a real-world scenario.

ABOUT YOU
 
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for SQL, an inquisitive mindset along with a keen interest in how data and information can support business excellence. You’ll have:

Essential:
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant area such as Business Information Systems or Computer Science.
  • Practical Microsoft SQL knowledge including functions, stored procedures and views
  • An understanding of databases concepts
  • An investigative mindset with a desire to understand the bigger picture and contribute to understanding and solving challenges.
  • An interest in business and private health insurance/health services.
 
Desirable:
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and methodologies
  • A Microsoft SQL qualification, or working towards
  • Knowledge of Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) processing tools such as SSIS
